EasyLaTeX 1.1.0 Released: AI Academic Agent Now Available

NewsEasyLaTeX OfficialPublished

EasyLaTeX introduces its AI Academic Agent, moving beyond isolated questions and answers to support work inside a LaTeX project. The agent can assist with writing, literature organization, and project maintenance in the context of the research itself.

Research moves through ideas, literature review, source organization, drafting, formatting, and repeated checking. Those stages often require switching between separate tools. The new agent is designed to connect them and provide continuity throughout a project.

From Individual Questions to Project-Aware Assistance

A paper is developed over time. Its project contains a research direction, an outline, existing text, references, and a history of changes—not just one prompt.

The EasyLaTeX agent uses project files and context to provide relevant assistance. Ask it to organize an outline, polish academic language, edit LaTeX, investigate compilation failures, or plan the next steps. Assistance can follow the project as it develops rather than remain a series of disconnected answers.

Working Inside the LaTeX Workflow

A LaTeX project combines files, packages, equations, figures, and references. Maintaining those relationships becomes harder as the project grows.

The agent can inspect the project structure, help edit code, investigate errors, and adjust formatting. It can use the source and compilation context to suggest a repair rather than leaving the researcher to search an unfamiliar log alone. AI-generated changes can be inspected and reviewed in the project.

Online Literature Search for Research Preparation

Finding and organizing existing work is central to choosing a direction. Describe a topic to search for papers and organize their information, then reuse those findings in later research and writing tasks.

Continuing to Build Around Real Research Work

The Academic Agent is an important step toward a connected research workspace. The challenge is not simply generating text, but making AI useful within an actual paper project.

We will continue improving the connections between AI, the LaTeX editor, literature tools, and collaboration, guided by researchers' practical needs.
